Why Should You Listen To Me?
Good question and one I always ask before I’ll even think of handing my hard earned dosh over to anyone!
My full back story is on the About page if you want all the details, but if you just want the condensed version, here’s a quick 411 on me, my background, why and how I know exactly what I’m talking about in regard to doing business online.
I bought my first ‘offline’ business in 1993, launched my first website in 1996 selling packaged baking mixes derived from that same business and have never looked back. I’m an experienced web business owner and consultant whose made a ‘business’ despite being ‘code-phobic’. I discovered WordPress in 2008 and became a huge convert almost immediately when I sold a WordPress Premium Theme business for a client!
I’ve worked and consulted on hundreds of websites across all types of business models. These days I love that there’s always some new tip, tool or technology to ‘get my head around’ that makes it easier to do business and make money online. I’ve always been curious by nature but recently decided to share what I’ve learned and continue to discover here at NextGenBizTools and through a series of guides and eBooks specifically written to teach you what you don’t know you don’t know yet
Why Did I Write This Guide?
I’m a full time web business consultant and broker. I got a phone call a while back and the question was all too familiar, “How do I know what the best online business is for me? What should I be looking at to figure out if it’s really a good business or just a scam?” That’s not something that can be answered properly in a 15 minute phone call. Writing a guide makes sense if you also know, I get at least two or three calls a week from people asking me that very same question. When I’ve had the time to talk on the phone, I’ve seen it end up (more than once) in a long, 90 minute plus conversation, that usually ends with the caller saying something like “thanks so much for your time, I’d like to call you again once I sift through all the information you’ve given me” – but honestly I just don’t have the time to take those calls. So I wrote the guide to address the basics and give a general overview of the main elements that make up a well run online business.
